There are too many recipes I see that call for crust but don’t tell me where I can find a recipe for crust. I found a slightly less than perfect recipe on the internet. After a little tweaking I have perfected the recipe for pie crust. I hope you love it and use it as much as I do.
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup COLD water
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup vegetable shortening- Crisco works well
Mix the shortening and flour first. Then sprinkle in the water slowly. Add just enough to make a good dough consistency. The dough should hold together nicely and make good pea sized granules.
